About the Counselor: I specialize in working with survivors of trauma and abuse as well as those who are experiencing various forms of anxiety in their lives. I am trained in EMDR which is an evidence-based approach to therapy that has been proven to work effectively in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and other anxiety disorders. I am also trained in using the Prepare-Enrich assessment tools and curriculum for pre-marital and marriage counseling. This involves each partner completing an online assessment in which they answer questions about themselves and their relationship. Therapy sessions are then based around the report from this assessment which indicates areas of strength in the relationship as well as areas for growth.
